Manager Assurance in Suriname

What will you do?

As a Manager Assurance, you will be responsible for leading and executing assurance engagements. You will maintain close contact with clients, monitor engagement progress, and ensure your team performs at a high level.

Your responsibilities will include:

• building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients

• staying in regular contact with clients throughout the year

• directing daily fieldwork and monitoring engagement progress

• keeping supervisors informed about the status of engagements

• coaching, guiding, and evaluating team members

• adjusting the audit approach to changes in the client’s environment

• applying complex accounting and auditing knowledge to client situations

• delegating work effectively and supporting seniors in their development

• providing constructive feedback and conducting performance reviews

• contributing to an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment

• actively contributing ideas within audit teams and responding openly to the views of others

• using technology to strengthen knowledge sharing and improve service delivery

• developing a broader understanding of EY’s service lines and identifying opportunities to add value for clients

We are looking for a driven and professional candidate with a strong audit background and proven leadership skills.

You recognize yourself in the following profile:

• you hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting

• you have a relevant professional qualification such as RA, CPA, AA, ACCA, or equivalent

• you have at least 5 years of experience as an auditor within a public accounting firm, or relevant industry experience

• you have strong project management skills

• you have excellent written and verbal communication skills

• you are a team player with leadership capability

• you demonstrate integrity and professionalism

• you are fluent in English

• proficiency in Dutch is considered a strong plus
